In the lead up to the grand durbar of the 2025 edition of Dzodze Deza Festival; among the major highlights of the celebration was the outstanding, impactful community-centered activities by the reputable Mama Agbaledzokpui II Foundation.

The first of the two events was a Health Walk- on 23rd October,2025 -that brought together the Queens of Dzodze, dressed sportively, alongside Dzodze Penyi Senior High School cadets, members of the security services, health workers, and the general public. The walk commenced from St. Anthony’s Hospital, through the principal streets of Dzodze to Dzodze-Penyi Senior High School, and back to the hospital premises- supported by brass-band music. Participants were later treated to refreshments and brief talks on exercise, general health, and breast cancer awareness. The foundation also donated water heater to the hospital.

The following day, the Mama Agbaledzokpui II Foundation, in collaboration with the St. Anthony’s Hospital, held a comprehensive breast cancer education, screening, and treatment/advise program. The initiative benefited numerous women from across the Dzodze Traditional Area and beyond, offering not only medical screening but also counselling and follow-up advice.

In her remarks, Mama Agbaledzokpui II emphasized that the Foundation is a non-profit organization, devoted to girls’ empowerment through skills training and other forms of support. She expressed gratitude to her colleagues and sponsors whose continued assistance sustains the Foundation’s human development initiatives in Dzodze and surrounding communities.

Mama Agbaledzokpui II also encouraged all citizens to actively support and participate in Dzodze Deza and related community development activities, underscoring that collective effort is key to positioning Dzodze to take its rightful place in the Volta Region.
