15-Year-Old Boy Drowns in Zabzugu Dam

A 15-year-old boy named Abukari has tragically drowned in the Zabzugu Dam in the Northern Region of Ghana.

According to reports, the incident occurred on Saturday, July 19, while Abukari was returning from the farm with his mother. Upon arriving at the dam, his mother asked him to fetch water. Instead, the boy reportedly jumped into the dam and drowned.

His body was not found immediately, prompting a two-day search operation led by local fishermen from nearby communities. The search concluded successfully on Sunday, July 20, when his body was recovered.

The tragic incident has left the Zabzugu community in mourning.
