The Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) has taken firm disciplinary measures against two of its officers, Daniel Godsway and George Amoako, following allegations of fraud, impersonation, document falsification, and forgery.

An internal investigation revealed that the pair had tampered with official documents by altering them and forging the signature of the EPA’s Chief Executive Officer, Prof. Nana Ama Browne Klutse. In a strongly worded memo signed by Prof. Klutse, the incident was condemned as a serious abuse of authority, a breach of fiduciary duty, and an outright act of forgery.

The memo also noted that their actions may violate sections of Ghana’s Criminal Code 1960 (Act 29), particularly those related to fraudulent misrepresentation, forgery, and the unauthorized use of official records. As a result, both officers have been interdicted pending a full investigation.

The EPA reiterated its commitment to maintaining transparency and safeguarding the integrity of its documents, warning that any tampering with official records is a grave offense that will not be tolerated.
