Accra, April 18, 2025 — The Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs is calling on Ghanaians to use the Easter season as a moment of reflection and recommitment to national unity, peace, and service to humanity.
In a statement signed by sector Minister Ahmed Ibrahim, the Ministry extended warm Easter wishes to the Christian community and all citizens, urging everyone to draw inspiration from the core values of the season—sacrifice, compassion, and hope—to foster national development and social harmony.
“The Easter period is a time to reflect on our shared values as a nation. Let us embrace the spirit of unity and commit ourselves to peaceful coexistence and service to one another,” the statement read.
🙏 Role of Faith-Based Institutions
The Ministry also acknowledged the crucial contributions of faith-based organisations in promoting peace, moral values, and community development across the country.
Citizens were further encouraged to engage with the spiritual essence of Easter, not just through celebration, but through acts of kindness, respect, and solidarity.
“We urge all Ghanaians, especially Christians commemorating the death and resurrection of Christ, to celebrate in moderation and in ways that promote community safety and mutual respect.”
