Fishermen Off Boston Coast Discover Decomposed Body Entangled in Nets

A group of fishermen off the coast of Boston made a grim discovery on Friday morning when they retrieved a decomposed body tangled in their fishing nets, approximately 40 miles offshore.

The body, which was wrapped and bound with a belt or rope, was initially mistaken for part of their heavy catch. It was only during sorting that the fishermen realized they had pulled a human corpse aboard. They immediately alerted the US Coast Guard and Massachusetts State Police, who have since launched an investigation.

An autopsy is currently underway to determine the identity, age, and cause of death of the deceased. A disturbing image obtained by US news outlet TMZ reportedly shows the body lying on a blue tarp aboard the vessel, with its arms visibly restrained.

Authorities have yet to establish whether foul play was involved. However, the case has drawn comparisons to past incidents, including a similar discovery in New York City, where a body weighed down with stones was recovered near Riverside Park. In September, another unidentified corpse was found floating in the Hudson River under suspicious circumstances.

This latest case also echoes an incident in Brooklyn, where a fisherman once retrieved a decomposed body near a pier. The Boston authorities, along with the Coast Guard and the District Attorney’s office, continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding this unsettling find.
