President John Dramani Mahama has reiterated his government’s dedication to enhancing the welfare and working conditions of both military personnel and civilian staff of the Ghana Armed Forces.
Speaking at a graduation ceremony for officer cadets at the Ghana Military Academy on Friday, April 11, President Mahama emphasized the need to recognize and reward the sacrifices of service members.
“To all military personnel and civilian staff, I remain committed to steadily improving your conditions of service,” he affirmed. “The sacrifices you make for our country deserve appropriate, timely, and fair compensation.”
He highlighted the role of the Ghana Economic and Housing Corporation (GEHOC) in addressing housing and other critical infrastructure needs for the armed forces.
The President also assured continued government investment in infrastructure, logistics, and welfare programs aimed at boosting morale and ensuring the military’s preparedness.
His statement comes amid growing calls for improved conditions within the security services, especially as they face rising demands both at home and across the region.
The event drew the presence of senior military officials, government representatives, and proud families of the graduating cadets.
