One Dead, Three Critically Injured in Trotro Accident at Dr. Mensah Station

A tragic accident at the Dr. Mensah Station in Kumasi has claimed the life of one trader, leaving three others in critical condition after a commercial bus (trotro) lost control and plowed into a cluster of roadside stalls.

The incident, which occurred on Tuesday, March 18, was reportedly caused by brake failure, causing the vehicle to veer off the road and crash into unsuspecting traders.

Eyewitnesses described a chaotic scene as pedestrians scrambled for safety while the bus barreled through the busy marketplace. Some bystanders rushed to rescue the injured before emergency responders arrived.

The victims sustained severe injuries and were swiftly transported to the Manhyia Government Hospital, where medical staff are working to stabilize the survivors.

Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident, with efforts underway to determine the full circumstances leading to the crash.
