Member of Parliament for Gomoa Central, Kwame Asare Obeng, popularly known as A Plus, has described former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo as one of the least effective leaders in Ghana’s political history.

Speaking in an interview with George Quaye on Joy Prime Television, the outspoken legislator maintained that his assessment is not merely a personal bias but one grounded in what he believes are verifiable facts about the former administration’s performance.

According to A Plus, the state of the country during Akufo-Addo’s tenure provides enough evidence for objective judgment rather than subjective debate.

“You don’t have opinions on every matter,” he said. “When we have to talk about Nana Addo’s presidency, it is there for everyone to see. There are facts.”

Despite his criticism of the former president’s governance, A Plus clarified that his views are strictly political and not personal.

He dismissed suggestions that his remarks stem from dislike, stressing that he holds no personal grievances against Akufo-Addo.

He explained that while he respects and likes the former president as an individual, he remains dissatisfied with his record in office.

The comments add to ongoing public debate about the legacy of the Akufo-Addo administration, as political actors continue to assess its impact on the country’s economic and social development.
