Ghanaian Afro Rock and Jazz artiste Dela Jackson, known offstage as Jackson Delali Kwaokumey, is set to stir nostalgic emotions with his upcoming single titled “Tunaabu”, scheduled for release on November 14, 2025.

Distributed by Apprise Music, the song promises to reconnect listeners with the vibrant language, fashion, and energy of Ghana’s earlier decades, blending rhythm and storytelling in a refreshing Afro Rock and Jazz style.
A nostalgic sound with deep roots
Recorded at Breezy Breeze Studio, Tunaabu embodies a blend of Afro Rock and Jazz influences that highlight Dela Jackson’s soulful connection to his roots. He describes the track as inspired by “the fashion and terms used during my youthful days,” adding that he hopes listeners will “feel the nostalgia back in the days.”
The creative process, which spanned about two months, was both natural and spontaneous. Dela Jackson collaborated closely with sound engineer Ebenezer Opare, who worked on the drums, bass, and keyboard arrangements. The artiste shared that the production came together smoothly, saying the song flowed with ease and inspiration.
Visual storytelling through music
The music video, directed by filmmaker Ted Mingle, will follow shortly after the audio release. Shot in Accra, particularly around Kanda and Ridge, the video visually captures “the days of old,” weaving together scenes of culture, vintage fashion, and timeless youthful energy.
Through Tunaabu, Dela Jackson seeks to revive appreciation for Ghana’s cultural essence and inspire reflection on youthful memories. “I want fans and listeners to know about the terms and fashion styles we used back in the days,” he said, describing the song as a cultural time capsule that bridges generations.
More music and stories to come
As the release date approaches, Dela Jackson hints at more projects and collaborations ahead. Guided by his personal mantra, “Quitters never win and winners never quit,” he continues to describe himself as “the soul healer” — an artist devoted to uplifting spirits and preserving authentic African sounds.
