EK Nacosty, whose full name is EK Nacosty, was born on 22nd July 1996 at Enyan Onyaadze in the Enyan Ajumako district. He currently lives in Ekumfi in the Central Region of Ghana. Coming from a family of entrepreneurs and farmers, he learned the value of hard work from an early age. His father played a key role in his musical journey, often telling him, “Music is for the soul, so be careful what your soul consumes.”

Education and Entrepreneurial Journey

EK Nacosty started his education at Ekumfi Asokwa JHS in the Central Region and later attended Atlantic Wesleyan College for his secondary education. Although he did not pursue formal music training, his entrepreneurial spirit led him to establish Nacosty Center, an entertainment arena in the Central Region. This venture helped him gain experience in the entertainment industry and sharpen his business skills.

The Start of His Music CareerEK Nacosty began his music career in 2020, a time when he felt all hope was lost. His love for music and personal heartbreak pushed him to express his emotions through songs. His debut track, "My Story," was a reflection of his journey and struggles.

Currently, he is promoting his latest project, “Mene Woa” featuring Kofi Kinaata. He encourages everyone to support this song while hinting that more exciting projects are on the way.

Musical Style and Inspirations

EK Nacosty focuses on Highlife, a genre that represents Ghanaian heritage globally. He plays the frikyiwa, a traditional African percussion instrument, and writes his own songs. However, he also enjoys collaborating with others to gain more experience and fresh ideas.

His biggest musical influences include Kofi Kinaata, Daasebre Dwamena, Shatta Wale, and Ofori Amponsah. For him, listening to good music has always been an inspiration, and he dreams of using his songs to positively impact people’s lives.

Goals and Aspirations

In the next five years, EK Nacosty aims to become one of the most talked-about icons in the history of Highlife, not only in Ghana but also in the Western world. His short-term goal is to promote his current project and build a stronger connection with his fans.

Life Beyond Music

When he is not working on music, EK Nacosty enjoys playing volleyball and being a goalkeeper. He also values exercise, spending time with friends, and getting enough rest to prepare for new challenges.
