Shiabu, a vibrant community in Dansoman, Ablekuma West constituency, came alive on March 6, 2026, as residents and visitors from across constituencies gathered for the 4th edition of the “Shiabu to the World” annual program. The initiative, designed to encourage and uplift the people of Shiabu and Dansoman at large, has steadily grown over the years — but this year’s edition was nothing short of spectacular.

The highlight of the event was the annual jersey street walk, which drew over 20,000 participants. The walk stretched from Ablikuma South to Odododio, turning the streets into a sea of excitement, energy, and community spirit. The Executive team behind the program was lauded for their meticulous planning and execution, which helped mobilize such a massive crowd.

Following the street walk, attendees enjoyed an after-party complete with music, videos, and photo sessions, keeping the festive spirit alive long after the march ended.

In addition to the festivities, the organizers emphasized community health by offering free health screenings prior to the walk. Residents had access to diabetic, HIV, breast cancer, blood pressure, typhoid, and malaria tests, as well as antenatal registration and family planning services. More than 500 people benefited from these health services, delivered by a team of professional nurses and doctors, reinforcing the program’s mission to uplift and empower the community.

The 4th edition of Shiabu to the World has left a lasting impression, with residents and participants still buzzing about the remarkable turnout and positive vibes. For more highlights and videos from the event, visit the program’s TikTok page: @Shiabu.To.The.World
