The Woman Rewriting Africa’s Place in Global Education Starting with the Children

Mon, 9 Jun 2025 Source: Christopher A. Ranson

A global school. A Library of African Stories. A vision no one saw coming but one the world can’t ignore anymore.

She didn’t wait for the right time.

She didn’t wait for funding.

She didn’t wait for approval.

Chika Alphonsus looked around and realized one truth:

If Africa was going to rise, it would have to be by the hands of those who carried her heartbeat.

And so, she built.

She is the first Black African woman to create a Swedish Language School designed specifically for Africans — not just to pass exams, but to relocate, settle, and thrive in Sweden with confidence, clarity, and cultural pride.

She teaches language.

She teaches culture.

She teaches identity.

But her mission didn’t stop with adults.

Because Africa’s children deserve more than survival —

They deserve to see themselves on every bookshelf, in every language, in every land.

📚 A Library for the African Child — in Seven Languages

From Swedish to French, from English to Hausa —

Chika is launching a collection of African-themed children’s books that speak to the dreams and stories of our youth.

Books where African names are not footnotes.

Books where our skin, our laughter, our villages, our food, and our families are centered — boldly and beautifully.

Because what good is relocating if we forget where we came from?

🌍 This Is Global Education, reimagined

Chika’s Swedish school opens its doors to:

Children being raised across cultures

Nurses, students, and professionals prepare to relocate

Families building a new life abroad

Anyone who refuses to lose their voice while chasing their future

Every lesson is grounded in African references.

Every product — from pronunciation guides to cultural books — is rooted in truth, clarity, and pride.

And every child who opens her book sees a reflection of themselves, speaking boldly in the language of the world — without erasing their roots.

🖤 A Diaspora Woman, Putting Africa on the Map

Chika Alphonsus is not backed by a billion-dollar NGO.

She is not riding a wave of celebrity.

She is not the product of luck.

She is a daughter of the land,

A visionary in motion,

A diaspora woman who never forgot where she came from —

And now, she is building bridges from Africa to the world.

Swedish people are watching.

Embassies are listening.

Africans are rising.

This is history in motion.

And the story is only just beginning.
