Former National Organiser of the National Democratic Congress, Joshua Hamidu Akamba, has spoken about his principles regarding political appointments and loyalty following the party’s electoral victory.
Speaking on Adom FM’s morning show Dwaso Nsem, Mr Akamba said he did not join others who rushed to submit their CVs in search of government appointments after the NDC won power.
“When the NDC won elections and everyone was running to submit their CVs to look for jobs and appointments, I was the one who never thought about it at all,” he said.
He stressed that honesty and integrity are core values that guide his life.
“The honesty of life is very important to me. If I say I am very honest and loyal to you, then I am,” he stated.
Mr Akamba also emphasised his commitment to transparency in communication, saying he does not speak ill of people behind their backs.
“I won’t go and stand somewhere to speak ill against you. Whatever I will say, I will say it to your face and not behind you,” he explained.
He added that this principle is deeply rooted in his upbringing.
“Even my late mother will tell you. Sometimes they cannot even predict who I am,” he noted.
According to him, his consistency and straightforward nature sometimes make it difficult for people to fully understand him.
