BECE 2026 Results Release Update: Everything You Need to Know

The Head of Public Affairs at the West African Examinations Council (WAEC), John Kapi, had indicated in an interview reported by AdomOnline that the 2026 Basic Education Certificate Examination results were expected to be released on or before Wednesday, July 15, 2026, barring any unforeseen circumstances.

However, the results were not released on the anticipated date.

Although WAEC has not announced a revised official release date, the 2026 BECE results are expected to be released soon.

Parents and candidates are therefore advised to remain calm and wait for an official announcement from the Council.

WAEC has also cancelled its scheduled discussion on the BECE grading system, which was expected to take place on the JoyNews AM Show today, Thursday, July 16, 2026, at 9:00 a.m.

In a Facebook announcement, the Council stated that the programme had been called off due to circumstances beyond its control and apologised for the inconvenience.
