WAEC has made it possible for both school candidates and private students to access their provisional 2024 BECE results via the official BECE results portal. Whether you're a school candidate or a private candidate, you can now check your results by following the steps below.

Steps to Check Your 2024 BECE Results Online

1. Visit the BECE Result Portal: Go to eresults.waecgh.org.

2. Enter Your Index Number: Type in your BECE index number.

3. Confirm Your Index Number: Re-enter the number to verify its accuracy.

4. Select Exam Type: Choose either BECE School or BECE Private.

5. Select Exam Year: Choose "2024" from the dropdown menu.

6. Enter Serial Number: Input the serial number on your BECE result card (e.g., 180000000001).

7. Enter PIN: Type in your unique PIN (e.g., A1B2C3D4E5F9).

8. Complete the Captcha: Tick the captcha box to confirm you're not a robot.

9. Click Submit: Hit the "Submit" button, and your results will be displayed in a new window.

Key Statistics from the 2024 BECE

This year, a total of 569,236 candidates participated in the school-based BECE. The group consisted of 282,703 males and 286,533 females from 19,505 Junior High Schools across the country.

Among them were:

59 candidates with visual impairments

263 candidates with hearing impairments

161 candidates with other test accommodation needs

The BECE was conducted at 2,123 centres nationwide. However, 3,845 candidates were absent from the exams.

BECE for Private Candidates

For private candidates, the 2024 BECE had a total of 1,390 entries—750 males and 640 females. These exams were held in 15 centres across the country, primarily in regional capitals. Unfortunately, 57 private candidates were absent.
