#NSMQ2024: Unstoppable Keta SHTS Soars to 57 Points, Kumasi Academy Fights Hard, Acherensua SHS Trails Behind

The highly anticipated One-eighth Stage of the 2024 National Science & Maths Quiz (NSMQ) began with an exciting contest between Keta Senior High Technical School (Keta SHTS), Kumasi Academy, and Acherensua Senior High School. The "Eagles" from Keta SHTS soared to victory, scoring an impressive 57 points and advancing to the Quarter-finals.

In Round One, the competition was calm yet fierce. Keta SHTS led with 18 points, closely followed by Kumasi Academy with 17 points, while Acherensua SHS trailed with 6 points.

Round Two, known as the 'Prudential Life Speed Race,' shifted the momentum. Keta SHTS extended their lead with 33 points, Kumasi Academy followed with 24 points, and Acherensua SHS fell behind with only 5 points.

The Problem of the Day, a challenging biology question, proved difficult for all teams. Acherensua SHS and Kumasi Academy scored 2 and 3 points respectively, while Keta SHTS managed 4 points for a partial solution.

In the 'Jupay Money Transfer True or False Round,' Kumasi Academy made a strong comeback, answering all questions correctly and reaching 43 points. However, Keta SHTS maintained their lead with 47 points, while Acherensua SHS improved to 23 points.

As the contest drew to a close, Keta SHTS emerged victorious with 57 points, securing their place in the Quarter-finals. Kumasi Academy finished with 46 points, and Acherensua SHS with 23 points. Despite their defeat, both Acherensua SHS and Kumasi Academy can be proud of their efforts in the competition.
