#2024Polls:NDC's Joana Gyan Cudjoe breaks many records at Amenfi Central.

Joana Gyan Cudjoe, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary Candidate for Amenfi Central Constituency, is the party's first female candidate in the constituency.

She accomplished this feat by winning with 26,345 votes, or 68.53%, and sweeping all of the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) strongholds in the constituency.

Dr. Albert Wiredu Arkoh, running on the New Patriotic Party ticket, received 12,096 votes, or 31.47%.

Joana Gyan Cudjoe's victory was not without hurdles.

Her opponents attempted to prohibit her from contesting just two days before the election but were eventually unsuccessful.

Undeterred, Joan Gyan Cudjoe persevered and received the most votes in Amenfi Central history.

Joan Gyan Cudjoe, the recently elected Member of Parliament for Amenfi Central and a private businesswoman, is projected to have a significant impact on the lives of her people while also bringing much-needed development to a neglected area.

Although the Electoral Commission (EC) has yet to certify her victory, as well as the victories of other legislative candidates, John Dramani Mahama has been named the next President of Ghana.
