The Ghana Police Service has received an unreserved apology from a woman named Priscilla Kyeremaa, who goes by the user name Empress Papa A-Amigos, for spreading misleading information on Elrad Salifu Amoako's arrest.

The woman claimed in a post on her Facebook page on November 4, 2024, that the troubled son of Bishop Salifu Amoako, who was placed under remand by the juvenile court in relation to the accident that killed two young girls, is being protected by the police and is not, as previously reported, at the Osu juvenile correctional facility in Osu.

The police service denied the woman's and other social media users' statements, saying they were untrue. They warned them to take the necessary action or face legal repercussions. The statements made by Priscilla Kyeramaa and others were deemed regrettable by the Ghana Police.

In her letter of apology to the Ghana Police Service, Priscilla acknowledged that she had sold lies without taking the necessary steps to verify her information before it was published. She pledged to speak out against false information, stating that it is illegal and that avoiding it is essential.

According to the Ghana Police Service, Elrad Salifu Amoako has been remanded and will appear before the juvenile and family court today, November 7, 2024.
