The founder of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP), Akua Donkor, has reportedly passed away.
The GFP founder is reported to have died at the Ridge Hospital in Acca.

Madam Donkor became well-known as a vocal supporter of women's and farmers' rights and was praised for her lively personality and unwavering commitment to the Ghanaian people.
Madam Donkor, who is well-known for her direct approach to politics and unwavering spirit, made several unsuccessful runs for the president while steadfastly standing out for under-represented groups in spite of her meagre financial means.
