Following the public release of images and videos of his recently commissioned statue at Effia-Nkwanta, Western Region, President Nana Addo Dankwah Akuffo Addo has been the target of intense criticism. Ghanaians have frequently questioned if the president deserves it and have expressed their surprise and displeasure about it. Statues, according to many, are monuments erected in recognition of individuals who have made significant contributions to society, the country, or the world; the current president is not one of these individuals.

Despite numerous setbacks in his administration, Nana Addo has had a significant impact on the nation throughout his time as president. The free senior high school program put in place by his government appeared to relieve parents of the financial burden of paying for their children's second-cycle education. The NABCO program, strengthened TVET, One District One Factory, One Village One Dam, and other creative policies are also included. However, irate young people and internet users have called for the statue's removal. The public has been warned that anyone who tampers with the statue will face legal repercussions. In a news release, the local traditional council explained why the statue should be kept alone because it was erected in the president's honor.

Another image of the President commissioning a statue of himself was posted on Sika Official's official Twitter feed. Ghanaians were shocked to learn that the president's statue in Effie Nkwanta was the only one in the nation. As the "Ga Mantse" stands behind the president at the ceremony, this exact statue was commissioned in Accra. The photo's legitimacy is confirmed by the official presidential watermark. The viral image has sparked a lot of reactions from netizens, and I've included some of the comments I found below.
