Attention Parents & Students: CSSPS Results Delayed – New Date Announced

The Ministry of Education has moved the release date of the 2026/2027 Computerised School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS) outcomes from Monday, August 31, to Friday, September 4, 2026.

This change, according to the Ministry, came about in response to appeals from parents, guardians, students, and school heads who requested more time to finalize the submission and uploading of student data onto both the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) and CSSPS platforms.

The Ministry stated that the deadline extension aims to ensure that every eligible student can complete the required procedures and have their information properly recorded for placement into Senior High Schools (SHS) and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions.

Ministry data revealed that roughly 20,000 qualified students still had not had their school preferences entered into the CSSPS system by their school heads, parents, or guardians.

By pushing back the deadline, the Ministry noted, it hopes to avoid excluding any student whose data submission is still pending.

As such, parents, guardians, students, and school heads are being encouraged to make full use of the additional time and submit any outstanding information before the new cutoff date.

The Ministry reaffirmed its dedication to upholding a placement process that is fair, transparent, efficient, and well-organized, guaranteeing that every qualified student receives the chance to gain admission to an SHS or TVET institution.
