A military helicopter crash in Adansi Sikaman, located in the Adansi Akrofuom District of the Ashanti Region, has left four people dead. The victims, suspected to be high-ranking government officials en route to an event in Obuasi, have not been formally identified.

The tragic accident happened on August 6, 2025, with witnesses describing a devastating scene as the helicopter burst into flames upon impact.

According to adomonline.com, the aircraft crashed into a tree and was completely destroyed by fire. The helicopter, which reportedly operates weekly on the Accra–Obuasi route every Wednesday, went down for unknown reasons.

Matthew Baah, the local Assembly Member, verified the incident in an interview on Adom FM’s Kasiebo Is Tasty. He mentioned receiving an urgent call while working on his farm.

“Following the crash, there was an eerie silence. When locals arrived, they found the helicopter engulfed in flames,” he said.

The report also mentioned that fragmented remains were retrieved from the wreckage, though the identities of the presumed officials remain unconfirmed.
