"Dr. Mensa Otabil Claims 90% of African Prophets Are Deceptive and Misleading"

Roughly 90% of people in Africa, including Ghana, who identify as prophets or men of God are reportedly fake, according to reports made by Dr. Mensa Otabil, the founder and general overseer of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC).

Based on the manner these self-proclaimed prophets spend their life, Dr. Otabil contends that they are serving other gods rather than the Almighty God.

He emphasized that many of these people engage in a variety of immoral activities, including adultery and binge drinking, and do not exhibit Christ-like principles.

In the name of God, some even go so far as to curse and pray for the death of others.

During a sermon on November 17, 2024, he emphasized that a true man of God would never pray for the death of another person.

Although they might be able to make correct predictions, he pointed out that psychics and mediums are not always followers of Jesus Christ, the Christian Savior.

In my opinion, a significant percentage of those who identify as prophets in Africa today are actually mediums and psychics; by majority, I mean a high percentage, most likely in the 90s of percentiles. True statements can also be made by psychics. "You prophesied in my name," Jesus will say. I didn't know you. How will we be able to tell if they are real prophets or just psychics? "You will be able to tell if they are living for Jesus," he stated.

Dr. Otabil cautioned that on the last day, God will ultimately reject these phony men of God.
