Customers who use Nuri Prepaid Meters have been advised by the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) to top up their meter credit so that it lasts for at least one month.
In order to prevent customers from experiencing vending interruptions during the update of the Nuri Prepayment system and other Standard Transfer Specifications (STS) metering systems, the ECG has issued an urgent alert.
ECG emphasized the importance of the upgrading in a statement issued on Saturday, November 23, 2024, with the goal of guaranteeing customers' continuous access to vending services.
Customers are asked to comply by filling up their meters ahead of time, as ECG said, "This is a crucially mandatory STS upgrade designed to ensure uninterrupted vending service."
ECG invited clients to get in touch with them if they needed help and reassured them that it was prepared to help with the upgrade process.
"Please call our call center at 0302 611611 or contact us via our social media platforms (ECGghOfficial) for expedited action for your convenience and the immediate upgrade of your Nuri Prepayment meters," the statement read. The STS upgrade is a component of ECG's endeavors to improve service delivery and modernize its infrastructure. The upgrade aims to simplify the power payment procedure and minimize any interruptions by making sure that customers' meters are compatible with the most recent vending standards.
The company has called on customers to comply with the advisory and assist in making the exercise a success.
