Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) presidential candidate, says he is convinced he will win the polls and is now concentrating on increasing the margin of victory between himself and his primary rival, John Mahama.
This is the NPP Flagbearer's third phase in the Northern Region, and he is wrapping up a four-day campaign rally there.
Dr. Bawumia stated during a campaign rally in Saboba that he wants to defeat the former president by a significant margin and that no one should be surprised by his win in the next elections.
After all the money that was handed to him to aid the people in the North, he criticized the prior president for doing little to help them during his time in office.
"There is no denying it. By God's grace, we are winning this election, insha'Allah. If we cast our votes today, the gap is my sole concern.
"How much space will we provide our opponents? I'd like a wide gap. We want to beat them well, well, therefore I want everyone to come out," he remarked.
Bowan John Mateer Sakojim IV, the Paramount Chief of Saboba, expressed gratitude to the NPP government for the initiatives and policies they have put in place to enhance the quality of life for local residents.
He affirmed his support for Dr. Bawumia and showed faith in his leadership abilities.
