Kwame Baffoe, also known as Abronye DC, the Bono Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has expressed reservations about Joyce Bawa Mogtari, the Presidential Adviser and Special Aide to former President John Dramani Mahama.

Abronye DC accused Joyce Bawa of earning an exceptionally high income, stating that she is paid GH¢ 95,000 monthly. He stated that this amount is similar to the salary of the head of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA).
In an interview with Net 2 TV, Abronye DC said that Joyce Bawa had been warned against obtaining a cabinet position to avoid needless stress. He advised that instead of taking on a government job, she be encouraged to stay at Jubilee House while continuing to get her generous pay.
Abronye stressed that GH¢ 95,000 is just GH¢ 5,000 short of 1 billion old cedis, and Joyce Bawa no longer respects anyone in the country. He justified her compensation by citing her position as a presidential aide and adviser to the president.
Abronye also questioned the current presidential budget, pointing out that the sum provided to Joyce Bawa is part of the broader budget, which has increased significantly under the NPP government. He accused the NPP of claiming to decrease the budget while keeping the actual figures high.
In reaction, Joyce Bawa Mogtari used social media to warn the NPP against disseminating false information about her. She stated that she would pursue legal action against anyone who continued to make defamatory statements. Joyce Bawa explicitly addressed claims about legally acquiring a vehicle for personal use and expressed annoyance with the NPP's continued attacks.
She denied the charges, stating that no evidence had been offered to indicate any breach of laws or terms of service, and that she had never been formally investigated or faced any complaints about the vehicle.
