Jacqueline Acheampong, often known as Gyakie in music circles, has spoken out about her new strategy for dealing with negative social media comments regarding her craft and personality.

In a recent interview with Kwame Dadzie on Joy FM, she stated that while she values input, she is cautious of the counsel she receives from others.
According to her, sometimes listening to critics can be confusing, therefore she makes the final decision alone.
"I just learned to appreciate what I believe is right because one person will say, 'I don't like the way your hair is always shorter,' while another will say, 'I don't like the way your hair is long.'" So what do you want me to do? I'm going to do what I think is correct or what I believe my audience will like. Because what I put out is what attracts the folks in my market.
I used to let a lot of negative criticism get to me, but now I just drop the music and do what I was meant to do," she remarked.
When asked if she was active on social media, she said, "Very active, but I don't want to read [comments] anymore. Right now, I just dump it and leave."
She said that this protects her thoughts from being influenced by harmful energies.
"You are aware that the mind is extremely complicated. You may believe that if I say anything, it will not affect me, but just one comment can destroy your entire week since you are a human. "You have feelings."
However, she stated that she has not fully ceased reading comments, but she has discontinued the habit of looking through comments on everything she posts.
