John Mahama Receives Sad News from the Assembly of God Church

President John Dramani Mahama has received really unfortunate news. A delegation from the Assemblies of God church visited him today to inform him of Madam Deborah Wengam's death. John Mahama extended his condolences to Rev. Stephen Yenusom Wengam and his family.




During the meeting, the delegation formally invited President Mahama to attend Madam Wengam's funeral. The ceremony is slated for Saturday, January 25, 2025, in the State House Forecourt in Accra.

President Mahama seized the opportunity to honor the late Madam Wengam's life and services. He mentioned her beneficial influence on her family, neighborhood, and church, describing her as a woman of tremendous faith and dedication. He also promised the family of his support during this sad period, encouraging them to find solace in the legacy Madam Wengam left behind.

The Assemblies of God team, led by notable church members, thanked President Mahama for his warm reception and good remarks. They recognized his lengthy history with the church and his constant support for its programs.


Madam Deborah Wengam was well-known for her dedication to the Assemblies of God Church and active involvement in community service. Her death is a major loss for her family and the church, but her contributions will be remembered lovingly.

The funeral is expected to bring a large crowd, including government officials, church leaders, and members of the Assemblies of God congregation, who will commemorate her life and achievements.
