NPP Secretary Attacked for Alleged Use of Party Vehicle in Ashanti Region

Nsiah Boakye Andrews, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Secretary for the Offinso South Constituency in the Ashanti Region, is recovering from injuries incurred in an attack allegedly planned by the Constituency Chairman, Joe Sala, and a group of others.

The incident occurred on Tuesday morning at the NPP Constituency Office, where Mr. Boakye Andrews was allegedly beaten for driving a party-branded vehicle.

According to sources, the quarrel centered on a brand-new pickup truck donated by the party's national executives for the 2024 general election.

Following the elections, the party leadership sought the vehicle's return, but Mr. Boakye Andrews allegedly refused.

Tensions rose, prompting the Chairman and several others to lock the party office and confront the Secretary.

Mr. Boakye Andrews suffered serious injuries as a result of the altercation.

He is currently undergoing medical care at a local hospital.

The incident has sparked worry within the party, with requests for a thorough inquiry to guarantee accountability and avert future conflicts.
