Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings, the former First Lady of Ghana, has passed away in Accra at the age of 76. She was the wife of the late President Jerry John Rawlings and served as First Lady during his various administrations, making her tenure the longest in Ghana's history. Beyond her ceremonial role, she was a prominent political figure and women's rights advocate, founding the 31st December Women's Movement and later her own political party, the NDP. Her legacy was cemented when she became the first woman to ever run for the Ghanaian presidency.
