In a collision on the Accra-Tema Motorway, the driver of a Sprinter bus with registration number GT 4867-13 passed away instantly.
The unfortunate incident occurred in the early hours of Tuesday, November 19, 2024.
The bus was on its way from Underbridge to Lapaz with passengers on board.
Ohene Amponsah was informed by one of the passengers, Louis Djamgma, that the driver lost control while trying to avoid potholes on the route.
Sadly, the car swerved off the road, struck one of the many potholes, and collided with a bush close by.
Godwin Sarbah, the driver's companion who lived through the collision, described hearing the passengers' cries just before the car flipped over.
According to Mr. Sarbah, his late boss was not speeding at the time of the event, nor did the car have any technical problems. When National Ambulance Service personnel arrived on the scene, they took the deceased's body to the mortuary.
