Otumfuo advises Akufo-Addo to put peace first in the elections scheduled for December 7.

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has been encouraged by Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II to take all necessary steps to ensure a peaceful election on December 7, 2024.

When the President visited Manhyia Palace as a courtesy to thank him and the indigenous people for their unwavering support, the Asantehene made this request.

President Akufo-Addo issued a warning to the Ashanti Regional House of Chiefs in a separate speech, saying that the Ashanti Region would be overlooked and significant development projects might be put on hold if people choose former President John Mahama in the upcoming elections.

When President Akufo-Addo visited the Manhyia Palace on his three-day tour of the Ashanti Region, the Asantehene urged him to ensure a peaceful voting process for the elections scheduled for December 7. "I think he will fulfill his pledge to guarantee a calm election.
