It’s that time again where final year students in the various Senior High Schools (SHS) prepare for the West Africa Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).

For most students, this is the time to show that their three years spent at SHS was never a waste of time as they prepare to undertake their final exams.

For parents, too, this is the time where they expect their wards to come out with flying colours and to prove that the money spent on them has not gone waste.

But to be honest, the grades of most SHS students will largely be dependent on the schools they attend.

Students of an A-listed school are more likely to record higher pass marks as compared to those rates as B or C schools.

As a result, there are some SHS schools whose students rarely fail in the WASSCE exams due to the quality of education that they enjoy as well as a number of other factors.
