Twelve passengers, including a five-month-old baby, have sustained injuries following a rear-end collision at Agbate along the Kpeve–Asikuma road.
According to a report by adomonline.com on March 22, 2026, the crash involved a Sprinter bus and a petrol tanker, leaving the bus with severe damage to its rear.
“Despite the impact, no fatalities were recorded,” the report said.
Personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) at the Peki Fire Station, led by LFM Prosper Klo, responded swiftly to the emergency.

Using specialised extrication tools, they successfully rescued passengers who had been trapped in the wreckage.
All injured victims were transported to the Peki Government Hospital, where they are currently receiving medical attention.
The District Fire Officer, ADOI Godwin Gbedemah, provided technical oversight during the rescue operation.
Officials praised the timely intervention of the GNFS team, noting that their quick response played a crucial role in preventing fatalities and ensuring all victims were rescued safely.
