13-year-old girl commits suicide at Nsuta

A 13-year-old girl only identified as Abigail Aklugu has committed suicide by hanging at Nsuta in the Sekyere Central District of the Ashanti Region.

The incident according to Danso Yeboah Joseph, the Sekyere Central District Health Director occurred at about 6 am on Monday, March 25, 2019

According to him, his night watchman called to inform him of a girl hanging dead on a mango tree behind the District office premises at Nsuta.

He, in turn, lodged a complaint with the police who proceeded to the scene and sighted Abigail Aklugu aged 13 with the neck in a nylon rope and partially sitting on the ground.

The body was carefully inspected and whitish fluid and blood were found at the vagina and the anus respectively.

Photographs were taken and afterward, the body of the deceased was conveyed and deposited at the Mampong Government Hospital mortuary for preservation and autopsy.
