Government has announced that it will soon recruit 2,300 teachers for the newly-built community day senior high schools constructed by President John Dramani Mahama.
The building of the schools was in fulfilment of a campaign promise Mr Mahama made ahead of the 2012 presidential elections.
A Deputy Minister of Education (Tertiary), Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, on Friday August 26 announced on Twitter that: “After successfully recruiting 2,500 maths and science teachers and 1,018 teaching and non-teaching staff at the tertiary level, I am glad to announce that we are now preparing to engage another 2,300 teachers for the newly-completed community day schools. Interested persons should be on the alert for further information.”
