Ghana winger Kwabena Owusu has denied reports that Black Stars players had $80k as appearance fees at the 2019 AFCON, insisting they were given$20k.
The Black Stars were rumoured to have received amount as their appearance fees for the tournament but the new boy says the report is far from true.
Speaking on GHone TV Kwabena Owusu said the story is not true and that they rather took something lower than that.
“We did not get $80,000 as appearance fee, our appearance fee was $20,000 — Kwabena Owusu stated.
Owusu was one of Ghana’s revelations at the tournament.
