Black Stars winger Samuel Owusu has expressed his displeasure with nature of the pitch at Suez Stadium after Ghana’s 2-0 win against Guinea Bissau.
Owusu who was handed his first start at the tournament lasted for 85 minutes before coming off for Kwadwo Asamoah. Speaking to footballmadeinghana.com after the match, the Cukaricki player lamented the poor nature of the pitch and how difficult it was for him to play under such condition.
” The game was very through, the pitch was not good for me. there was no water on the pitch. it was difficult to control the ball. but I tried my best and did what is the best for me and the team. The most important thing is to win the game and take the three points.
Samuel Owusu also shared his thought on Ghana’s first two draws;
” The start of tournament is not easy, playing first game is always difficult. But we did our best , the team work is there , so we encouraged ourselves to go ahead and with the next game”
Ghana will face Tunisia on Monday July 8th, 2019 at the Ismailia Stadium.
