Scores of the unposted nurses today barged their way to the Ministry of Health again, while they protested against the government demanding their immediate postings and clearance.
They were seen chanting “2020 we go show Nana” to demonstrate their displeasure with the delays in their postings by government.
This comes after the Police scattered them last night, when they picketed at the premises of the Ministry.
Deputy Minister for Health, Tina Mensah has attributed government’s inability to clear the nurses for their postings to lack of funds.
“Before you clear somebody, it’s the money; when the money is available, you clear. So today, if we take it to the Finance Ministry and then there’s money available for us, then we clear.” she told Accra-based Citi FM.
The nurses who completed their studies in 2016 say they have held several meetings with the Minister for health with a view to address their concerns but to no avail.
