2024 Elections: NAPO, Rebecca, Akufo-Addo, and others react to Bawumia's number 1 position on ballot paper

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and his wife, Ghana's First Lady Rebecca Akufo-Addo, have led the charge to solicit votes for the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, after he secured the number 1 position on the ballot paper for the 2024 elections.

The president took to social media and shared Bawumia's campaign flyer, calling for a vote for him with the hashtag #ItIsPossible.

His wife, Rebecca, also took to Facebook to write, "Vote number 1 on the ballot paper. #Bawumia2024 #ItIsPossible," which was accompanied by a Bawumia campaign flyer.

Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, popularly known as NAPO, the running mate of the NPP, equally shared the campaign flyer, calling for a vote for his boss on December 7, 2024.

Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, the Minister for Works and Housing, has also reacted to Bawumia's number 1 position on the ballot paper. In a Twitter post on September 20, Oppong Nkrumah said, "Vote number 1 on the ballot #ItIsPossible."

Richard Ahiagbah, the NPP's Director of Communications, added, "We are #1 on the ballot, but we will not rest on our oars. We will work hard for our victory. It's possible."

Henry Nana Boakye, popularly known as Nana B, NPP National Organizer, also said, "Number 1 on the ballot."











Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has been placed number 1 out of 13 presidential candidates vying for the 2024 elections after the Electoral Commission conducted a balloting at its headquarters on September 20, 2024.

Akua Donkor - Ghana Freedom Party (GFP) - #3

Christian Kwabena Andrews - Ghana Union Movement (GUM) - #4

Kofi Akpaloo - Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG) - #5

Mohammed Frimpong - National Democratic Party (NDP) - #6

Nana Akosua Frimpomaa - Convention People's Party (CPP) - #7

John Dramani Mahama - National Democratic Congress (NDC) - #8

Hassan Abdulai Ayariga - All People's Congress (APC) - #9

Kofi Korateng - Independent Candidate - #10

George Twum-Barima-Adu - Independent Candidate - #11

Nana Kwame Bediako - Independent Candidate - #12

Alan Kyerematen - Independent Candidate - #13
