2024 Elections: 'Selfless' Mahama's policies will greatly benefit Ghana – Charles Taylor

Legendary Ghanaian footballer Charles Taylor has praised the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, for his well-thought-out policies ahead of the 2024 general elections.

Taylor believes that Mahama's manifesto stands out compared to other political candidates, addressing the key challenges facing Ghanaians.

The former Kotoko player highlighted Mahama's commitment to completing national projects abandoned by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government, which he believes will significantly benefit the country.

Speaking on Angel TV, Taylor expressed confidence that Mahama would address the poor state of football pitches in Ghana if elected president.

"Mahama is a selfless person who doesn't just think about his family. His policies will benefit everyone, including NPP members. For instance, if you complete teacher training and are unemployed, he has a policy to support you. We need to support him.

"I believe his policies are good, especially his intention to complete neglected projects like the Saglemi Housing project. Previously, World Cup qualifier matches could be played in Accra, Baba Yara, and other stadiums, but that's not the case today," he said in Twi.

Meanwhile, John Mahama has outlined his sports sector policies, promising to rehabilitate various stadia across the country to meet international standards for hosting high-profile matches.
