The Deputy Chief Executive Officer for the Microfinance and Small Loans Centre (MASLOC), Kwabena Asamoah, has called on first-time voters to solidly unite behind the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2024 general elections to maintain the gains made by the introduction of the Free Senior High School policy.

Mr. Asamoah, who also serves as the National Patron for the Free SHS Graduates Association, believes that the free SHS policy can only be protected by maintaining the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the upcoming presidential and parliamentary elections.

According to him, it is in the interest of all Ghanaians, particularly beneficiaries of free SHS, to protect the policy, adding that "protection of this policy starts with voting massively for the NPP."

He made this statement when the Ashanti Regional Youth Wing of the NPP embarked on a public sensitization campaign for all first-time voters on the need to get registered in the ongoing voter registration exercise by the Electoral Commission of Ghana (EC).

The sensitization programme, led by the Ashanti Regional Youth Organizer, Rafael Sarfo Patrick, on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, educated hundreds of citizens in some principal streets of the region, including Amakom and its environs.

Speaking to OTEC News reporters Nancy Boamaa and Solomon Nimo, Rafael Sarfo Patrick appealed to all Ghanaians who have turned 18 years old to participate in the voter registration exercise.

He again called on them to vote massively for the flagbearer of the NPP, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, for the proper management of the country.

He added that the NPP and Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia remain the best options, with a proven track record of implementing policies that will help change the fortunes of the country.
