President John Dramani Mahama has once again stirred conversations online after sharing a series of serene garden photos with the Prime Minister of Grenada, Dickon Mitchell.

The two leaders were pictured at the Jubilee House gardens engaged in what appeared to be warm and thoughtful exchanges, surrounded by lush greenery and calm outdoor elegance.

In a Facebook post accompanying the photos, Mahama stated that the meeting centered on an important global justice issue.

“Garden conversation with Prime Minister Dickon Mitchell of Grenada. At the UN General Assembly this year, I sent notice that Ghana intends to file a motion at the United Nations next year to declare slavery as one of the greatest crimes against humanity,” he wrote.

The president further emphasised that his push for reparations is not a call for sympathy, but for justice and restoration.

“As the African Union Champion for Reparations, I see this cause not as a plea for charity, but as a demand for justice,” he added, expressing confidence in the support of Caribbean and African nations for the motion.

The photos, showing Mahama and Prime Minister Mitchell walking and chatting in the garden, have since generated wide attention and praise on social media.

Many commended the president for championing reparations and fostering stronger Africa-Caribbean ties, while others admired the relaxed yet diplomatic tone and atmosphere of the meeting.
