Workers of Naja David Group stormed their Director’s home at Ahodwo-Nhyiaeso in the Kumasi metropolis of the Ashanti Region to demand their salaries.

Scores of police were dispatched to the director’s residence on Friday, 27 July 2018, to protect him and maintain order.

The workers, exceeding 500, were from AG Timbers Limited and Bondplex, whose parent company is Naja David Group.

The irate staff told Adehye FM's Elisha Adarkwah that the company has not paid their salaries for the past seven months and has defaulted in paying their Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) as well.

They said they have exhausted all avenues to have their salaries paid, thus, their siege of the director’s home.

The workers said complaints have been lodged at the National Labour Commission (NLC), Trades Union Congress (TUC) and the Ashanti Regional Minister’s office.

They said the director asked them to go home and promised to call them back to work but they have been home for the past two months without any response.

They have threatened to picket the home of the director until they get paid.
