70 facilitators of NFED attends workshop at Nkoranza

Nkoranza (B/A) Feb. 21, GNA - A week's training workshop for 70 facilitators of the Non-Formal Education Division (NFED) of the Ministry of Education, in the Nkoranza District of Brong Ahafo is underway at Nkoranza.

The workshop is aimed at offering the facilitators the opportunity to share their experiences on the field and also adopt strategies to overcome their common problems.

Mr Evans Kwame Osei, District Director of the Division urged the facilitators to collaborate with leaders in their communities to win their support in the management of their functional literary classes. Mr. Osei urged them to live above reproach since they were role models in their communities and must therefore command the respect of the people.

Mr Akwasi Darko-Poku, District NFED Officer in-charge of Income Generating Activities announced that the World Bank has arranged some credit facilities for adult classes that establish income-generating projects.

The District Training Officer, Mr Samuel Owusu-Adjei asked the facilitators to keep accurate records on their activities to facilitate the management of their classes.
