A Plus puts Zylofon Media CEO on blast over controversial Ebony comment

Controversial musician, Kwame Asare Obeng has called out CEO of Zylofon media, Nana Appiah Mensah, for his tweets which suggested Ebony wanted to be 'free' from her manager.

The CEO of Zylofon Media tweeted, "We had a fruitful meeting and reached an Agreement just last tuesday. "Please help me pay him for my bail out. I want to be free". I hope you're free now & finds absolute peace in the bosom of the almighty God. Let's pay CRITICAL ATTENTION to our female artists.#RIPEbony "

The statement suggested that the talented songstress was unhappy with her management under Ricky Nana Agyemang, aka Bullet, insisting 'I want to be free.'

The tweet which went viral was not received well by many who stated that the comment were insensitive and unfair to Bullet.

A plus who said he could not fathom why Nana Appiah Mensah will tweet to put Bullet in a bad light knowing the difficult times Bullet had gone through in making Ebony who she was before her death.

“I don’t know what Nana Appiah Mensah, Zylophone Media CEO hopes to achieve with his Facebook post. What I know is that he has also signed so many artists…..I WISH HIM ALL THE BEST AND A SMOOTH RIDE WITH ALL HIS ARTISTS!!!” he wrote

A little over a year ago Bullet was doing everything humanly possible to help Ebony realise her dreams. We all watched this video. We shared it on social media. He used to wake up at 5am and moved from TV station to radio station to promote her songs. There were times when he worked while Ebony slept. Unfortunately most people have forgotten the effort Bullet put in her career. In Ghana some people make it just too difficult to help people. Today, after all that Bullet did for Ebony you see people posting all sorts of negative comments about him. It's sad. I feel it in my heart. The most unfortunate one is said to have come from the CEO of Zylophone Media. When Ebony needed help, when she needed money to pay for studio sessions, when she needed some money to buy costumes for a shows, where were you? It was Bullet who was there for her. Today you have money to "bail her." Everybody wants to reap where they have not sown. Bullet, I feel sorry for you!!! Bullet, John Boadu, Bola Ray and I met at Cahaya just about 2 weeks ago. Then I asked him how Ebony was doing. He told us how difficult his artist has become and the issues they are having but he went on to say; "Kwame, when Bola was managing us (Ruff N Smooth) we did worse things so it's normal. I now understand what Bola has gone through...." and Bola smiled. He turned to Bola and said; "boss you have done well ooo. It's not easy to manage an artist. When the person becomes big they become extreamly difficult to control. Don't go there they'll go. Don't do this, they'll do. Don't say that, they'll say. Artist, we are all the same." I'm not saying Ebony was a bad artist. No!! These issues are normal in artist manager relationships. In most cases it is caused by fame getting into their heads. In some cases the artist gets to a point where they want a change in direction or think they have gotten to a place where they deserve better. It happens everyday. Even in sports. It happened between Sarkodie and Doctor Duncan. In their case Sark realised his potentials and wanted a change in direction to help him achieve his goals.
