According to A Plus, Mahama has shown support for the proposal to develop the facility
The Member of Parliament for Gomoa Central, Kwame Asare Obeng, popularly known as A Plus, has revealed that he has held discussions with President John Dramani Mahama regarding plans to construct an airport in the Central Region.
According to him, the President has shown support for the proposal to develop the facility in the region.
A Plus made the disclosure while speaking at the grand durbar of the Gomoa Easter Carnival, where he urged residents to rally behind the vision.
“One thing I have told President Mahama is for him to build an airport in the Central Region. The last time, the President sent the Director of Tema Port to meet me in my office and I told him that we have to build an airport in the Central Region. If nothing at all, we can also have sea transport and a lot of people will get jobs,” he stated.
