Ghana's finest welding engineer and the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Fatmoh Ghana Limited, Abdul Fatawa Mohammed has been honoured for his remarkable impact on Bulk Road Vehicle (BRV) production through his company's service, job opportunities created and commitment to promoting skills development in the Petroleum sector at the just-ended maiden edition of the Ghana Downstream Awards and Gala Night held at the luxurious Alisa Hotel North Ridge- Accra.

The priceless honour signifies his stunning leadership qualities and exceptional dedication to providing quality Bulk vehicles in the petroleum industry and also for being a highly recognised personality advocating for best business practices in the sector.

The Downstream Gala and Awards Night is a pioneering awards scheme designed to promote compliance within the petroleum industry and to acknowledge both individual and institutional contributions to the growth and sustainability of the sector. By recognizing excellence across the downstream value chain, the event aims to inspire higher standards and continuous improvement within the industry.

The event marked the climax of the 2024 Ghana International Petroleum Conference (GHiPCon) held on 17th- 18th July, organised by the National Petroleum Authority (NPA) in collaboration with the Chamber of Bulk Oil Distribution ( CBOD) and the Association of Oil and Marketing Companies (AOMC), under the auspices of the Ministry of Energy bringing together all the industry stakeholders to synergies and pull resources from each other and also celebrate and promotes high level of ethics within the sector.

Speaking to the Media after receiving the all- important honours, Abdul Fatawu Mohammed was extremely grateful for such a wonderful milestone at this highest level.

According to him, the award is a testament to his unwavering focus on meeting and exceeding customer expectations while adhering to rigorous quality standards over the years.

" I know I have worked hard and I duly deserve it. I am very thankful for such a great recognition at this highest magnitude. I am extremely overwhelmed with this great achievement over the years. ", he said.

C E O, and founder of (FGL) Fatmoh Ghana Limited with over 25 years of experience in the welding and fabrication technology industry, driving growth and leading teams.

With proven track record of building innovative products and driving organizational success in the petroleum industry.

He served as a welding technician at AS HALABY INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING LIMITED Kumasi branch for two years.

Abdul Fatawa Mohammed was a welding engineer at BAKER HUGHES INTEQ Libya branch for three years, with a track record of handling the hard surfacing processes of oil drill string stabilizers, assembling and disassembling of oil drilling motors, core barrels and drilling jars.

Also, he served as welding coordinator at ASSAIL OIL DRILLING COMPANY four years, with a track record of handling the installation of oil well heads and related oil rig works.

Fatawu Mohammed is the founder and Chief Executive officer of (FGL) Fatmoh Ghana Limited, lead the company to become one of the best manufactures of petroleum road tankers, fuel station underground and surface tanks, tank farms, and self bunded tanks for mining and municipal applications and other related fabrications.
