The Co-ordinator for he National Polio Eradication Committee, Robert Ataa, disclosed this when he addressed a news conference in Accra. He said Football has been found to be an effective means publicising the disease. In view of this, Mr. Ataa said, a charity football match dubbed "Kick Polio out of Ghana " is to be played between Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Goldfields at the Len Clay Sports Stadium at Obuasi on the first of November. He appealed to Journalists, particularly sports writers, to assist in the eradication of polio by publicising the national polio immunization days fixed for the 7th of next month and 19th of December.
