North Tongu Member of Parliament, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has responded to the claim by Rev. Victor Kusi Boateng, the founder and leader of the Power Chapel Worldwide and secretary to the Board of the National Cathedral of Ghana that despite his close relationship with President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, he has not enjoyed any contract from them.

Ablakwa mocked Kusi Boateng’s claim in a social media post, stating that he used his second identity, Kwabena Adu Gyamfi, to secure contracts from the government.

In his post shared on X, he stated, "Technically, Rev. Victor Kusi Boateng’s declaration that he has never received a contract from the Akufo-Addo/Bawumia government is quite true. All the contracts have been awarded to his second identity, Kwabena Adu Gyamfi.”

He continued, “See attached evidence of government’s payment vouchers to two companies: EL Dunamis Limited and JNS Talent Centre Limited, both owned by Kwabena Adu Gyamfi. The two companies were paid a total of GH¢7 million (GH¢3.5 million each) for the supply of paper towels to the Ministry of Health in 2021.

“JNS Talent received payment from the government on July 23, 2021. EL Dunamis was also paid by the government on August 17, 2021, for the supply of tissues.

“I can’t imagine how GH¢7 million worth of tissues look like. Interestingly, both contracts were single-sourced. Obviously, if diligent parliamentary oversight had not exposed his criminal double identity scheme, this is how he would have gotten away by deceiving many with such dishonest sermons and contract-induced prophecies.”

Meanwhile, Rev. Victor Kusi Boateng has refuted claims that he has acquired wealth through the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) government.

Speaking at his Signs and Tokens Conference on July 31, 2024, Rev. Kusi Boateng emphasized that he built his first house over 25 years ago without any political assistance.

"Nana Addo is a good friend of mine; he knows, he is a very good friend of mine. I have never taken a dollar from him. He has never given me a contract. And I believe he would hear it, on this. Bawumia has never given me a contract. They are just casual friends, and when I say something out of direction, it is not because someone is my friend because I don’t benefit from any of them," he stated.

Rev. Kusi Boateng added, "What do I benefit from? I benefit from the blessings of God."
